This year, Shijingshan will conduct an in-depth study on the land use of the surrounding plots along the west extension line of Chang 'an Street, Fushi Road, Shi Lian Road and Yongding River, and select 33 plots with an area of about 10 square kilometer for land reserve, so as to improve the land use efficiency and grade of the plots. It is reported that the department store constellation building near the subway 1 line will be demolished as a whole.

Zhao, deputy director of the Shijingshan Planning Bureau, said that these 33 plots are around the important traffic arteries in Shijingshan District, excluding the area where Shougang was demolished. Most of them are buildings from the 1960s and 1970s, including some old residential areas and commercial facilities. In the future, these plots will be upgraded as a whole, and the government will make overall planning arrangements. Most of the old buildings will be demolished and rebuilt, which will further increase the industrial land area for commerce, finance, administration and office, increase more cultural and entertainment facilities, and improve the land use efficiency and grade of the plot. Located in the west extension line of Chang 'an Avenue and Shijingshan District, the first large-scale comprehensive department store Constellation Commercial Building will be demolished and upgraded in the future. It is reported that by the end of last year, there were 787.43 hectares of projects in Shijingshan District, and the planned construction area of industrial land including education, scientific research, commercial finance and industrial land was 3.62 million square meters.
