Brief introduction of Omron ring

It consists of five small circles arranged in the form of Orion to form a constellation pattern, named "Orion constellation". Once the color copier finds this pattern, it will cause serious color distortion in the output and greatly improve the anti-counterfeiting function of paper money. This design is adopted by the world's major currencies such as US dollar, Euro, Japanese yen and RMB.

Since this technology was invented by Omron Corporation of Japan, these small circles are also called Omron rings, and obtained the US patent 5,845,008. When the Reserve Bank of India announced the rupee anti-counterfeiting feature, it called it Omron anti-copying feature, and this name was gradually adopted by the banknote printing industry and issuers.
