What is Yu Shinan's creative background?

Yu Shinan (July 1 1558-638) was born in Yuyao County, Yuezhou (now Zhenming Hechang, Guanhaiwei, Cixi City, Zhejiang Province). Chen Zhi was a calligrapher, writer, poet and politician in the Sui, Tang and Southern Dynasties, the son of Prince Chen, the younger brother of Yu Shiqi, assistant minister of civil history in the Sui Dynasty, and one of the "Twenty-four outstanding figures of Lingyange".

Yu Shinan is quiet, persistent and studious. Chen Sui is an official, worships a doctor and lives with others. After the demise of the Sui Dynasty, he attached himself to Dou Jiande, King of the Xia Dynasty, and was awarded assistant minister of the Yellow Gate.

After Li Shimin, King of Qin, destroyed Dou Jiande, he was introduced to join the army of Qin, Accountant and Pavilion in Shinan, and became one of the "Eighteen Bachelor" with Fang and others. During the Zhenguan period, he served as a writer, secretary and secretary supervisor. And was named yongxing county public, so it was called "Yu yongxing, Yu secret prison".

Yu Shinan's representative works include Jack's Young Adventure, Mourning Songs, Sending Bamboo to Linchi, Cicada, Responding to the Harmony and Singing of Wei Wang, and Going Out of the Shanzhai (written by Yu Shiji).

Among them, the last three poems are about bamboo, cicada and wind, which firmly grasp the characteristics of the object and portray it vividly. For example, the poem "Cicada" says that cicadas drink clear dew, which is the highest in the phoenix tree, and the sound is far away because of the high, not by the autumn wind, which means that a gentleman should be as high and far as cicadas, without relying on or being subject to other things.

Its ability to describe objects and express feelings can be seen. When commenting on two poems in Qing Dynasty, Shen Deqian called this poem (cicada) "Sui Chen's body still exists, but he pursues the fine police and gradually opens up tang style".
