Who was the first man to land on the moon?

Neil alden armstrong (1August 5-20, 9301February 25) was an American astronaut, test pilot, naval pilot and university professor.

During his service with NASA, Armstrong became the first astronaut to set foot on the moon on July 26th, February1,1969, and the first human member to leave footprints on an alien planet. His partner buzz aldrin also became the second person to return safely after landing on the moon. They stayed on the surface of the moon for two and a half hours.

Armstrong's first space mission was Gemini 8, during which he made the first orbital docking with David Scott.

Shortly after the Apollo 1 1 mission, Armstrong announced that he would not go into space again. After serving as the deputy director of the Office of Advanced Research and Technology 13 months, 197 1 in August, he resigned from NASA and became a professor of engineering at the University of Cincinnati.

After Apollo 1 1, Armstrong replaced the graduation thesis of hypersonic flight simulation with many flight experiences in the mission and obtained a master's degree from the University of Southern California. He chose the smaller University of Cincinnati among many universities (including Purdue University, his alma mater), mainly because he didn't want to offend his colleagues.

He doesn't want to be a professor directly because his academic qualifications are not high, which makes others dissatisfied. Armstrong's official title at the University of Cincinnati is Professor of Aerospace Engineering. Eight years later, Armstrong resigned due to personal reasons and dissatisfaction with the gradual transformation of the school into a public university.
