What is the constellation of Zhu Bo _ What does Zhu Bo mean?

What are the plots in Romance of the Three Kingdoms related to Zhuge Liang's mode basis of "crossing the Lushui River in May and going deep into the barren land"

Mr. Zhu Gekongming, Prime Minister of Shu and Han Dynasties, wrote a sentence in the Birthday Table, which has been circulated for thousands of years: "Since I took office, I have been worried day and night, fearing that entrustment will not work, so I hurt my ancestors' knowledge, so I crossed the river in May and went deep into the barren land." This sentence is about the spring of Zhuge Jian's third year, that is, in 225 AD, he led many people south to quell the rebellion of ethnic minorities and Han landlords in Yue Yong, Yongchang, Jianning and Zhang Si counties in southern Yizhou.

Regarding this expedition to the south, the authoritative history book "The History of the Three Kingdoms" only used a few words, namely: "In the spring of three years, Liang led the people to the south." Because, now it is almost impossible for people to verify whether the incident of Prime Minister Zhuge's seven escapes and seven verticals really exists from the History of the Three Kingdoms. However, another book, Hanshu Jin Chunqiu, which is almost contemporary with the History of the Three Kingdoms, gives a detailed description of Zhuge Nanzheng and Meng Huo's seven escapements, namely:

"Light to the south, where the war. People who heard of Meng Huo were persuaded by Yi and Han, so they raised money to do it. Well, he looked at the idleness in the camp and asked,' What's this army like?'

Get the correct answer:' The seeker didn't know the truth, so he was defeated. I had the privilege of observing the camp. If that's all, it's easy to win. "Smile, even if you fight again, seven birds are vertical and seven birds, but the light is still captured.

I couldn't stop it, saying,' Gong and Tian Wei are also powerful, and the southerners will no longer rebel.' Then I went to Dianchi Lake. Zhong Ping, is to use its drainage rate.

Still with exhortation, Liang said: "It is not easy to keep troops if you stay outside, and there will be no food if you stay there." To make matters worse, it will be a disaster to lose your father and brother and leave outsiders with no soldiers to escape. Second, it is not easy. I feel embarrassed when I am tired and have the crime of abolishing killing. If you leave an outsider, you will not believe it. It's not easy. Today, I want to keep no soldiers and no food, but the discipline is rough and the barbarians are rough. "

-Excerpted from Pei Songzhi's Preface to The History of the Three Kingdoms, Shu Zhi and Zhuge Liang's Fifth Biography.

The meaning of this passage is the same as that described in Lao Luo's Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Therefore, I think that although the seven captures and seven verticals are inconsistent with the cautious character of Prime Minister Zhuge in his life, they are not necessarily groundless. Here, I quite agree with the statement in CCTV- 10 "Exploring and Discovering the Spring and Autumn Period of Wuhou", that is, "Perhaps Zhuge Liang really captured many rebellious minority leaders alive by using psychological warfare and military warfare at that time. Those Shu and Han soldiers who returned home in triumph told the story of this incident, and the romanticized things were recorded in history by literati who could not personally witness it."

Then, let's talk about my views on "crossing Luzhou in May and going deep into the barren land".

First of all, "Lushui" should refer to Lushui, not the present Lushui in Yunnan. There are two rivers called Lushui in history, one is the intersection of the lower reaches of Yalong River and Jinsha River in southwest Sichuan, and the other is Nujiang River in Yunnan. I quite agree with the former statement. See Northern Wei Li Daoyuan's Notes on Water Classics (Volume 36), that is, "If water overflows, there is no note. If water and mother's blood combine again. Water flows from the maternal blood valley of Dongnong Mountain in Dongnong County, Yizhou, flows through Sanjiang County to the north, and flows into the rope to the south and north. Rope water flows eastward, injecting water ... (omitted) ... Rope water passes through Mahu County, Yue Yong County, and is called Mahu River. Water flows from Beishui County on the left and flows eastward to Mahu River. The west of Zhuti County is also the northeast, which is the Lijiang River. " (Note: Rope Water and Lujiang River were called Jinsha River in ancient times) In Volume 36 of Notes on Water Classics, it is also recorded that there is a place called Jin Lu on the surface of Lujiang River, which is more than 80 miles east of Zhudi County. The water is six or seven hundred paces wide and more than ten feet deep, and there are few pedestrians. In addition, the inflow of forbidden water, because of its "sometimes miasma, March and April, the path will die, after May, the traveler is harmless", was said by Prime Minister Zhuge on the table: "I have to cherish myself when crossing the river in May, and I can't be partial to Shu." In addition, there is a cloud in Yizhou, which is quoted from Notes on Water Classics: "The source of Lushui, with a runoff of 300 miles along the curve, is called Lushui. Lvshui River is named after its confluence with other waters.

Therefore, from the map of the Three Kingdoms, four counties rebelled, among which Yueying County is on the north bank of Jinsha River, close to Chengdu. Imagine that if Prime Minister Zhuge leads an army to counter the rebellion, from the point of view of the itinerary, he should also cross the river first and then cross the river.

Then, the problem turned to the word "barren". Barren land, in Chinese, is a barren land, but the landforms in southern and central Yizhou are lush forests, so I think the "barren land" here can not be understood as a desolate land, but as a "barren land", that is, a place where ethnic minorities live in compact communities. Here, I don't agree with the explanation in CCTV- 10 "Exploring and Discovering the Spring and Autumn Period of Wuhou", that is, I don't agree with the view that "poverty = Myanmar". Why do you say that? Because in Exploration and Discovery, Myanmar's English is "Bermah" and its homonym is "barren". However, it is recorded that: "The book cloud is the disease of the county and country in the world":' The ancient people of Myanmar are also. After Korea crossed the southwest, it was called Shaanxi. The Tang Dynasty was called Zhi, and the Song and Yuan Dynasties were called Myanmar. From the southwest of Yongchang, the mountains and rivers extend and the roads are blocked, so it is called Myanmar. In other words, Myanmar was called Zhubo in ancient times, and it was called Myanmar Mountain in Han Dynasty. The word "Myanmar" first appeared in the Song and Yuan Dynasties. The English name of Myanmar comes from the British who discovered Myanmar, named Bomani, that is, the name "Myanmar" comes from the local abbreviation Myanmar Naingandaw. [1] In Myanmar, the name Myanmar (or M Ranmapra? ) has been used since13rd century. [2] Its etymology is still unclear. In the old English literature, this usage is Bermah and la ter burmah. Myanmar is called Birmania in French and Birmania in Italian and Spanish. The official name of Myanmar is: Union of Myanmar. If you transliterate Myanmar, it should be called "Myanmar", not "barren". The Burmese themselves call their country "Myanmar", that is, Myanma Naingngandaw.

Moreover, judging from the political structure at that time, there were Cao Wei in the north and Sun Wu in the east. With Zhuge's cautious personality, he would never send a large number of troops to Myanmar, not to mention the traffic situation at that time was not as good as today.

So, to sum up, I think the Prime Minister went deep into the barren land, in fact, it should be four counties at that time, and the farthest is only near Dali, Yunnan.
