A few years, months and days, China astronauts went into space for the third time. What did they accomplish in space?

On September 25th, 2008, Zhai Zhigang, Liu Boming and Jing Haipeng went into space for the third time and completed a spacewalk in space (Zhai Zhigang completed the spacewalk).

Spacewalk is also called extravehicular activity. Installing large-scale equipment in orbit, conducting scientific experiments, releasing satellites and inspecting and maintaining spacecraft are key technologies of manned space flight and important means of manned space flight engineering. To achieve the goal of spacewalking, many special technical supports are needed.

Astronauts' spacewalks have different purposes in different historical periods. When Soviet astronaut Alexei leonov flew out of the cabin for the first time in March 1965, he had two purposes: one was to make a technological breakthrough in manned space activities, and the other was to make the Soviet Union lead the United States in space technology and have great influence in the world. America is not to be outdone. In June of the same year, White of the United States also flew out of the cabin when the Gemini 4 spacecraft was flying. Since then, there have been two research institutes for the technology of extravehicular activity, and people began to talk about the practical significance of spacewalking.
