Fortune Telling Collection - Zodiac Analysis - Pu Shu's cover of Orion _ Pu Shu's cover of Orion.
Pu Shu's cover of Orion _ Pu Shu's cover of Orion.
I've been listening to Pu Shu a lot recently, I should say. Seriously speaking, it takes about 20 years to listen to Pu Shu's songs from the earliest birch forest. So my first vague memory of him is that he is a singer, with a voice similar to that of Xu Wei and the style of the former Soviet Union. About Pu Shu's personality, dealing with people and his attitude towards music, I gradually got to know him in sporadic interviews after many years.
Last year, his third album "Orion" brought Master Park back to public view after years of silence, letting me know that this man is still alive, still making music and can do quite well. Of course, as soon as the new album comes out, you will naturally hear people say that it is not as good as before. In addition, many songs in the new album are released in the form of singles or * * soundtracks, such as Ordinary Road, On Jupiter and Hmm. Or old songs and new songs, such as forever young, so the freshness is naturally much less.
However, when I heard the first empty sailboat, I still had some amazing feelings. Just like the teenager you once knew is back, it's still the same. You will be happy for him from the bottom of your heart. However, I always feel that the lyrics of that song are a little thin, there are too many harmonies in front of it, and it is a bit of cutting corners, but it is still very suitable as a prelude to the whole album. If the melody and temperament of the first empty sailboat surprised me, the lyrics of the third ship of Jupiter impressed me with Pu Shu's language ability. He stammered for a long time before saying a few words, but the words written were clean and transparent, as if they had been washed out of a clear lake.
"XX Youth" is not my favorite song, or my least favorite song in the whole album, 80% of which belongs to the lyrics, which reminds me immediately of the slightly melodramatic expression and unruly wildness of some domestic folk singers. Pu Shu's surrealist songs never seem to be very good. Maybe this is not his advantage. Similarly, two songs by Lao Zhang next door appeared in the first album. Goodbye Baby (Russian can't be input) has the flavor of Pu Shu, a travel-stained style, like a wandering singer, and like an exiled writer who found himself homeless after many experiences.
There was a digital version of Pu Shu's Orion before, and later he created the entity album version because of his stubborn feelings. The biggest difference between the two versions is that the song of the same name on the album instantly rose to the top two of Pu Shu's best works in my mind after lyrics. The second difference is that the arrangement of the eighth song "Fearless in the Heart" in the second edition gave me a completely refreshing feeling about this song that I had heard several times before. It is this song that makes me feel that Park Shu is really a musician who treats his works very seriously and harshly. He didn't publish another version of the same song, but he was really careful to start from scratch with the first version that he thought was problematic. The new arrangement of this song is more dynamic, and the progressive melody in the second half is like a tide.
Forever young is an old song 18 years ago. The new boy filled in new words and sang it again. New Boy is my favorite song. Although it was actually an advertising song of Microsoft in those days, although the Pentium computer and Windows 98 in the song were out of date, if I had to choose a song that best represented Pu Shu's teenage temperament among all the works, I would choose this one. In all fairness, always young lyrics are better than old ones. Just hearing music is enough to make you burst into tears. The lyrics convey the meaning that times have changed, things have changed, and once teenagers were still bloody in their chests, angular and with knives in their eyes, and refused to beg for mercy. However, the arrangement and Pu Shu's singing method somehow made me never feel the brisk jumping rhythm in "New Boy", which was once the most fascinating place of this song, and I felt it was a pity. Perhaps, teenagers will eventually grow up, and those edges and corners that don't want to be smoothed will become more or less smooth after years of polishing.
Ordinary Road is the theme song of Han Han, and the lyrics are also Han Han's works. Han Han's writing skills are higher than Park Shu's, but his lyrics are a little melodramatic. Just like his * *, Pu Shu's composition is also very good. In short, this is a good song, even if it can be heard in the streets, it will not make me feel heartless. But this is not a very Pu Shu song, but a very nice song with a little Pu Shu shadow.
The penultimate song of the album "The Age of Innocence" is a brand-new song, which is said to have been written by Pu Shu before going to the class reunion. This song has a pure taste from words to songs, spotless and extremely clean. Pu Shu wrote such a song when he was forty-five, but he didn't feel like he was in act young at all. He really has a teenager in his heart and hasn't gone far. This is what he appreciates most. The Age of Innocence is a good song with a high standard. Even in Pu Shu's most talented twenties, it is amazing enough to write such a song. But privately, I don't think it has reached the level of those flowers, if those flowers are the highest level in the park tree.
Some songs in this album have reached this level, such as Orion, the last album of the same name. If I put aside the emotional factors that have touched me for many years, Orion is the best work of Pu Shu in my heart. So I can particularly understand that when the first digital album was released, everyone was crying for Pu Shu's new album 14 years later, and only he was crying. After waiting for so long, the album was rushed out, and even the lyrics of his best songs were not written, so the unknown songs he hummed with were put behind. I believe that for the pursuit of perfect works, his mood at that time was somewhat collapsed. Of course, album version, the entity of Master Park's second edition, who is not paranoid, will fill in this song.
I can't remember how many times I heard this song, and I don't remember how I felt when I first heard it. I think it should be joyful. The lyrics are not much in content, but they contain artistic conception, just like a person walking to the end of his life journey, looking back at the gains and losses along the way, the roads he has traveled and the people he missed with a calm and indifferent mood. The organ timbre added in 2 minutes and 24 seconds is as beautiful as the transparent dew on the grass leaves in the early autumn morning. If playing a song at my funeral makes many people flaunt their own aesthetics too vulgar, then this Orion constellation is really suitable for finding a quiet night at the end of life, watching the stars where you may see stars, listening quietly and recalling your life.
