What is the purpose of the pilot star of the Shaanxi-1 satellite constellation plan?

On April 24, on the occasion of the arrival of the third China Aerospace Day, the theme activity "Belt and Road Microsatellite Forum" of China Aerospace Day Xi was held in Northwestern Polytechnical University. The forum released the "Shaanxi No.1" satellite constellation plan and launched the "China Microsatellite Conference".

Xi 'an-1' s plan-A and B pilot stars are developing smoothly, and are scheduled to be launched into orbit in June next year, which will be mainly used to comprehensively monitor the atmospheric haze and water pollution in Shaanxi Province, provide data support for Xi 'an's "iron fist to control haze" and lay a solid foundation for the full implementation of the "Shaanxi-1" constellation plan.

The "Shaanxi No.1" satellite constellation plan will be completed in three phases, in which the first phase of the constellation plan consists of 72 low-orbit international standard cubic stars, and a constellation of 256 satellites will be gradually built. After the constellation is completed, it will realize high-frequency and revisited remote sensing in Shaanxi Province and the whole "Belt and Road", and provide instant, detailed and intuitive image information according to the needs of land and resources survey, urban planning, environmental monitoring, disaster early warning and agriculture, forestry and water conservancy. This means that Shaanxi Province will have its own constellation.

According to reports, CubeStar is a low-cost microsatellite that adopts international common standards. The volume of 1U cubic star is10cm×10cm×10cm. On this basis, different loads can be expanded according to different needs of users. Cubic stars have the characteristics of high standardization, low cost and small size, and have become an important direction for the development of micro-satellites. Since 20 16 years, Northwestern Polytechnical University has successively completed the development tasks of the world's first 12U cubic star "Soaring Star", "Walking Cloud Experiment No.1" and the EU QB50 project "Soaring No.1", and all of them have been successfully launched.

The "Shaanxi No.1" constellation is planned to be developed by Northwestern Polytechnical University and xi 'an Aoxiang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. ..
