According to media reports, a few days ago, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation also proposed plans to build more than 300 and 156 LEO communication satellite constellations respectively. The first technical verification satellites of the two plans are scheduled to be launched this year.

According to the report, Bao Weimin, director of the Science and Technology Committee of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, said in an interview that Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation is deploying a constellation of low-orbit communication satellites. The first phase of the project will have 54 satellites, and the second phase will smoothly transfer the system capacity. The total number of satellites will eventually exceed 300.

The person in charge said that it plans to start the construction of global mobile broadband satellite Internet system during the year. Upon completion, it will become a global seamless spatial information network infrastructure, providing Internet transmission services for fixed ground, hand-held mobile, vehicle-mounted, ship-borne and airborne terminals.

Experts said that in the future, this satellite Internet system can realize the communication support capability of combining broadband and narrowband in deep ocean, north and south poles and the "Belt and Road" region. Through this system, anyone or anything anywhere on the earth can realize information interconnection at any time.
