China's eight characters handed down from ancient times were recorded by the method of stem and branch according to the date of birth. To put it bluntly, it is recorded with the words "year after year+month+day+hour", and then the fate of life is calculated with the relationship between these eight words.

Constellation, in ancient western countries, divided the positions of the sky and the sun into zodiac signs, judged the signs of constellations according to the date of birth, and then combined the constellations with the trajectories of other celestial bodies (including the earth, the sun, the moon, mercury, Jupiter, Mars, etc.). ) to judge fate.

It can be said that horoscopes and constellations are the laws that the ancients explored in order to explore the ups and downs of life, and these laws most likely came from human speculation about themselves and the universe at that time.
