Following TM A234 is an American standard for forging carbon steel and alloy steel pipe fittings at medium and high temperatures. It can be seamless or welded pipe fittings, and it is also allowed to be made of forgings. This standard only includes cast pipe fittings. The raw materials of pipe fittings in this standard can be plates, forgings, round steel and steel pipes.
