What is the origin of constellation naming?

At present, there are 88 officially recognized constellations, many of which have a long history. Some names of constellations have appeared in the Bible, reflecting ancient culture. Some constellations have been mentioned in the works of ancient Greek poets Homer and Herzog, philosopher Thales, astronomer Auddock Seuss and Hipax. Most of these ancient constellations are related to myths. They are the embodiment of characters in ancient Greek myths and legends. Among the 88 constellations, there are 46 such "ancient ones".

/kloc-After 0/4th century, due to the development of commodity economy and the geographical discovery of Columbus and Magellan, the exotic scenery of southern China appeared in front of Europeans. 1603, German amateur astronomer Bayer published a beautifully bound star map, on which the harvest of geographical discoveries was "moved" to the sky. People not only saw the stars in the southern sky, but also drew the constellations in the southern sky for the first time and gave them names. The names of these constellations are Peacock, Rhododendron, Phoenix, Flying Fish, Water Snake, Crane, Swordfish, Weird Dragonfly, Tian Yan, Southern Triangle and Indian.

Jahannes Hewelius, an amateur astronomer, lived and worked in Gdansk in the 7th century. He made the astronomical telescope with the longest focal length in the world. In the star map and constellation catalogue compiled by Jahannes Hewelius, the names of such constellations as Lubao, Fly, Kirin, Tian Ge, Hound, Solitary Beaver, tokage, Sextant, Little Lion, Tmall, Xiaodun and Nanmian appeared for the first time.

French astronomer Llakaj measured the parallax of the moon when she lived in the Cape of Good Hope from 175 1 to 1753, and compiled a southern star map. Nantian 14 constellation has been added. This 14 constellation has been used ever since. Later, people thought that the ancient South Star constellation occupied too many people, so they divided it into three constellations-bottom, stern and vela. Together with the serpent and the rectangular constellation, there are now 88 constellations.
