Why do earth signs hate water signs?

Water signs are more emotional, and feelings are very important to them. Earth signs are more introverted, quiet and steady, and they are persistent in doing things. They are serious, confident and responsible, and they are a practical and realistic constellation. They also treat love more rationally than emotionally. The water sign is very dependent on the other half, so the persistence and pragmatism of the earth sign will often make them feel safe, but the conservatism of the earth sign will disappoint the water sign, and the two often quarrel about it.
