Why is it called Xiao Du?

Xiaodi is Baidu's AI intelligent assistant, with DuerOS as the core, hardware as the important carrier and cross-scene layout, aiming at providing more accurate, convenient and diverse AI intelligent services for mass users in different scenes. It is called a small degree for the following reasons:

1 and "degree" are the corporate brands of Baidu. Baidu named the intelligent assistant "Xiaodi" in the hope of strengthening brand promotion and marketing and further enhancing the company's reputation and competitiveness in the field of artificial intelligence.

2. In order to improve the naturalness and interactivity of human-computer interaction, Baidu links "degree" with "dialogue". The "degree" in the name stands for "master" and represents the establishment of relationship and the beginning of communication, while "small degree" is a vivid and lovely character, which is easier to accept and like.
