Constellation and MBTI's personality types

There are many different theories about the classification of personality: nine-type personality, big five personality, color personality, disc personality analysis and so on. Each theory has different angles and connotations. Personally, I believe most in constellation personality and MBTI's personality theory.

Constellations divide people's personalities into twelve types according to the month of birth. The twelve constellations are divided into fire, earth, wind and water according to the different life energy elements.

Fire signs: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius

Earth signs: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn.

Air signs: Gemini, Libra and Aquarius.

Water signs: Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.

MBTI's theory puts forward four dimensions of personality classification, and each dimension has two opposing types. Jung, the founder of this theory, should have been inspired by the idea of "four images give birth to gossip" in the Book of Changes. These four dimensions are:

1. Our energy sources and directions can be divided into two types: introversion and extroversion.

2. The sources and ways of collecting information can be divided into two types: feeling and intuition.

3. How do we make a decision? There are two kinds: thinking type and feeling type.

4. How do we get along with the world? There are two types: judgment type and perception type.

These types are divided into different angles from the types of constellations, so they can't correspond accurately, but we can still find some interesting similarities.

1. Source and direction of energy: Fire sign and wind sign are extroverted, while water sign and earth sign are introverted. People in fire sign should actively radiate their own energy, while people in air signs should collect and disseminate information, so they are all extroverted. People in water sign have a deep feeling of still water, while people in earth sign have a down-to-earth feeling, so they are all introverted.

2. Sources and methods of information collection: The constellation most related to information collection is air signs. People in air signs and/or Water Sign collect information through their brains and intuition, while people in Fire Sign and Earth Sign collect information through various practical senses.

3. Decision-making methods: Fire signs and Earth signs tend to be thinking and rational, but people in Fire signs tend to be instrumental rational, while people in Earth signs tend to be objective rational. People in air signs and Aquarius are easily emotional. Air signs pays attention to relationship, while Water Sign pays attention to psychology, but both of them are oriented by values.

4. Ways to get along with the world: Water signs and fire signs emphasize subjective judgment, water signs are subjective based on feelings, and fire signs are subjective based on morality. Air signs and Earth Constellation emphasize objective perception, air signs emphasizes the objectivity of ideas, and Earth Constellation emphasizes the objectivity of generalizing laws.
