According to statistics, Mangshan Mausoleum Group covers an area of 756 square kilometers, spanning 7 districts and counties, including more than 20 townships, and there are about 200,000 people in the cultural relics protection area.

"If you ask about the rise and fall of ancient and modern times, please only look at Luoyang City." Sima Guang's poems tell the historical and cultural accumulation of Luoyang. However, up to now, nearly two-thirds of the 972 large sealed tombs in Mangshan Mausoleum Group have been completely lost, with only 339 tombs left.

Now archaeological excavations on Mangshan Mountain can sometimes find some red soil. " Yan Hui, director of the research office of Luoyang Second Cultural Relics Task Force, said.

At the same time, Luoyang, a battleground for military strategists since ancient times, was naturally coveted by warlords of all sizes for underground treasures, and organized or private grave robbing also left Mangshan Mausoleum Group-"Oriental Pyramid" scarred. At the beginning of the 20th century, Mangshan tomb robbery has been highly specialized and collectivized. In the meantime, a large number of cultural relics were lost overseas. However, since the 1980s, driven by economic interests, Mangshan tomb-raiding activities have revived. The occupation and occupation of local residents' production and life also caused serious damage to them.
