Secondly, the dual-band radar still uses the integrated design of Burke ⅲSPY-6(V) 1+SPQ-9B, which is the castrated version of S+X dual-band radar. The advantage is that the technology is mature and can be used, but the disadvantage is that it feels shorter than 055. SPY-6(V) 1 also arranged two shields on both sides of the ship island and the rear hangar, which is obviously different from 055. As for why DDG 1000 dual-frequency radar is not used, there are still technical obstacles to be solved, or the cost is too high (it is not known whether the dual-frequency on Ford is good or not).

Thirdly, it is said that the power system will continue the power configuration of DDG 1000, but the power of DDG 1000 is not stable enough, and strikes often occur. Can it really be solved by DDG(X)? Still going to work "sick"? Of course, after three years of operation of DDG 1000, the system should be much more stable when it reaches DDG(X). Sadly, the generation of Prince Charming DDG 1000 has become a complete mouse.

Fourthly, besides MK4 1 and MK57, Eagle Sauce is also developing electromagnetic launch system and MLS launch system, which can launch hypersonic weapons. The electromagnetic launching system will be improved on the basis of MK4 1, the exhaust flue will be cancelled, and the missile will be launched in a way similar to electromagnetic ejection. If the technology succeeds, everyone will be happy After all, electromagnetic ejection is more efficient and safer.

But if the technology is unstable, it will be enough. This guy is launching missiles. Don't waste yourself if you're not careful. In addition, MLS, also known as Eagle Sauce, is developing a kind of drooping hair with larger diameter and length, which is estimated to be prepared for a large hypersonic weapon with a range of 1000 km. The fifth laser weapon is on board. Eagle Sauce plans to equip DDG(X) with two kinds of laser weapons, one is 150kW and the other is 600kW, to replace the dense array short-range anti-aircraft guns and Ram short-range air defense missiles. Laser weapons sound really high. However, at present, the strongest thing that Eagle Sauce can take out at home is the "Sun God" laser weapon system, with a maximum of 60KW. Dazzling interference with drones and speedboats is not a big problem.

It is definitely not enough to deal with anti-ship missiles with large targets and speeds above Mach 3. As for the 600 kW laser weapon, it may be the next DDG 1000 "electromagnetic ejection gun" project. What's more, when the situation is fierce, other electronic systems at the core of the dual-band radar have to be turned on, and the power consumption is amazing. Anti-ship missiles that intercept saturation attacks use electromagnetic ejection missiles, and their power consumption is not small. When the missiles arrive, they must use 600 kilowatts of laser-shaped weapons. Are you really strong enough?

Generally speaking, the superposition of DDG(X) in the new technology is somewhat convergent. For example, the radar is conservative and the drooping system is a little radical, but this modular system is still acceptable. If it is not good, it should be possible to replace the launching unit and reinstall MK4 1. As for laser weapons, I don't know much about the power system, but the final product is unknown, too much.

After all, Eagle Sauce's military-industrial complex is too big to fail, and cost overruns and construction delays are commonplace.
