How to open the back cover of a watch

The structure of the watch is different, and the back cover is opened in different ways. According to the structure, there are several kinds:

Pry open the lid. This back cover is flattened. Usually used in business watches and other varieties, the waterproof grade is relatively low, mostly three-pressure waterproof. This back cover usually has an opening at one of three o'clock or twelve o'clock or six o'clock. You can open the back cover with a bottle opener or a professional tool.

B spiral back cover, generally used for high waterproof rice. Most of the back covers have six equidistance pits (five in Omega hippocampus) around them as fixed points to prevent the watch back cover from opening, which can be opened with a wrench or a vise. There is also a polygonal lace as the opening fixing point, and Rolex is a coin pattern opened with a special tool.

C also has symmetrical point screws, which are used in many high-end or precious metal cases. The sealing performance is better than prying open the cover, and the back cover can be opened by unscrewing the screw with a screwdriver.

The above is the back cover structure of most watches, but there are some other types of back cover structures, and some even have no back cover. The watch movement is put in from the direction of the watch glass, and the glass must be removed before opening the back cover.

There are many kinds of watch back cover structures, but it is not recommended to open the back cover casually, because improper operation will affect the sealing performance of the watch, so be sure to check the sealing state after opening the back cover every time!
